Awareness program on Applications of Remote sensing in Ranchi

An awareness program on "Applications of Remote sensing" was conducted by Dr.Laxmi N.Goparaju, Scientific Advisor, Vindhyan Ecology and Natural History Foundation, Mirzapur, U.P. on 29.08.2017. The program was organized in collaboration with Department of Geography, Women's College, Ranchi.

Dr.Laxmi Goparaju was the main speaker and was assisted by co-speaker Ms.Durgeshwari, a GIS expert. The faculty members who participated were Dr. Smita Linda, Dr.Shashi Kanta Toppo, and Dr.Surabhi Sahu. Around 127 students participated in the program who were undergraduate students from Department of Geography. The students were made aware of the applications of remote sensing in various fields like geography, forestry, wildlife, oceanography, and environment.
