Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh: There's no doubt that finding a snake in the vicinity will freak you out. An Uttar Pradesh man was horrified when he realised that a cobra had crawled into his pants. He stood holding a pole for seven hours before the snake was removed. The incident was reported from Sikandarpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur where a group of labourers were working on installing electricity poles and wires.

The workers slept after having dinner. Lovekesh Kumar was sleeping when the venomous snake slithered into his pants around midnight. When he realised that a snake had slithered into his pants, he stood up at the spot to ensure that the snake did not bite him. He stood for seven hours by taking support from a pillar. Locals managed to get a snake catcher by morning. As the news spread around the village, hundreds of locals, village authorities and police officials gathered at the spot.
The snake catcher cut open Kumar's pants carefully to free both the worker and the snake.

A video of the rescue has surfaced online. The video shows the snake catcher cutting open Kumar's pants while the latter stands taking the support of a pillar. Kumar was fortunate that the cobra didn't bite him. This is not the first time that a snake slithered into someone's clothes. Last year, a man who was visiting a patient at a government hospital in Ahmednagar in Maharashtra was taking a peaceful nap on the floor of the hospital's premises when a snake managed to take refuge inside his shirt. Wildlife rescue officials had arrived at the spot to rescue the snake.
