Vindhyan Ecology and Natural History Foundation organized the 3rd episode of the talk series- 'The Naturalist' by Mr. Vibhav Srivastava on 'Ecotourism's Role in Conservation' on 19th August 2020 at 7 pm. 

Vibhav Srivastava is a naturalist by profession and a conservationist by heart. He has more than 15 years of experience working in the field of wildlife as a researcher, conservationist, and wildlife tourism expert. He also worked with some of the famous wildlife lodges and reputed tourism companies. In the past, he has been associated with Wildlife Institute of India, Banaras Hindu University, and Himachal Pradesh Forest Department.

 Mr. Vibhav Srivastava informed the participants about the role of ecotourism in the SDGs and shared examples of ecotourism based conservation efforts in India. He emphasized on community-based ecotourism in his talk and also shared his experiences in various wildlife-rich areas within and outside Protected Areas. The talk series is specially designed to initiate conversation and understanding of vulnerable species, threatened landscapes, less-discussed conservation challenges, and innovative models of environmental consciousness in the Indian subcontinent. The online series includes talks by professionals, researchers, and civil society activists with significant ground experience in addressing a particular conservation issue.
